Why am I dragging this demagogue out in the harsh sunlight of our current strife?
Because he's at it again predicting doom-and-destruction to be unleashed on the holy alliance that is the United States by...well, everyone else in the world - if Gitmo is closed and torture discontinued.
This is a man who dodged the draft in the 60s - not because of ideology, but because he thought it was beneath him.
This is a man who suggested to the infamous Donald Rumsfeld in the 1970s to use "the Justice Department in a variety of legally questionable ways to exact retribution for an article published by The New York Times investigative reporter Seymour Hersh."
While in Congress in the mid-80's he repeatedly voted AGAINST measures targeted towards apartheid South Africa.
In the 1990s he was CEO for Halliburton - the company who was later awarded MANY uncontested government contracts since the occupation of Iraq in 2003.
And last, but DEFINITELY NOT THE LEAST on the long list of his shady career - he is the die-hard proponent behind the Bush Administration's policy of torture and indefinite detention of ANYONE they considered a "terrorist" suspect.
Darth Vader - meet your 21st century counterpart.
And remember folks - EVIL can be a soft-spoken white guy with a heart problem
(Heart problem? Yeah - he doesn't have one as he probably sold it t to the devil YEARS ago!).
